Off to a great start

Well, classes began again at RHM.  I was all set and ready to go.  I Timothy is the first one I am taking, at Londonderry Christian Church.  I show up on Thursday night raring to go.  But it looked like nobody was there.  I ventured in and talk to a couple of people inside the church and much to my surprise I find the class is on Tuesday.  DOH.

I went and looked it up again and sure enough I just messed the days up.  So I am already one class behind, wth 5 to go.  So much for getting ahead.

Note: This is post number 100.  I am looking forward to writing many more.

Class is finished . . . Well mostly

Well, Thessalonians class is just about done. Just have to write the paper. I learned so much and it has left me hungry to learn so much more. Dan did an awesome job and really help me to feel even more drawn in. I am looking forward to more classes hopefully.

Not sure what to do about getting the degree yet. Have to keep praying over it and hopefully God will reveal a direction here. Lincoln seems such a long shot as moving there would seem impossible, but with God all things are possible so who knows.

So Many Options

Class is going great. Each week I can’t wait for it to start and before I know it, it’s over. I have learned so much from Dan over the past few weeks, and not just about Thessalonians. So many life lessons like the use of names and how to study and read, and what are we here for. And each thing I learn, in turn creates more questions to learn about. The mark of a great teacher.

I still have to talk to Bob about my plans. He wanted to give me some advice based on my thoughts of it this past week. I got some information from LCCS, but I would have to go there physically for 1-2 years and I am not sure that would work. There are a couple of other options such as LBC and OCC that look the most promising. The searching and prayer continue.

I sometimes feel if I don’t go off and do something soon I will just burst. But then I remember it is on God’s time table not mine. Though that patience is really, really hard.

Eschatology

Doctrine of last things. The study of end time events.

Hmmmmmm……..

Tomorrow I start my first class. Been a long time. I am not sure exactly what I am being called to. I pray that down the road, God will make that clearer to me. The feedback has been really uplifting to the idea. I know it is in God’s hands but it is very hard to let go.

In the Class

Lord be praised but I am in the class. I am thinking of taking it for college credit more so then before. I am praying on an answer.  I am also going to talk to Bob F. and Chris L. and see what they think.
The class starts one week from today.

Taking Step 1 – Sign-up for my first class

I have signed up for my first class, I & II Thessalonians through Restoration House Ministries. It is a 2 credit college course but I haven’t figured out whether to take it for college credit or just audit it. I am leaning toward the credit route as long as it doesn’t require too much running around. I am a little nervous, but oh so confident that I am headed in the direction God wants me to go in.

I have been reviewing colleges for a degree program. There is no college locally that I can get any kind of Ministry degree at so I am limited to online locations. My first choice probably would have been Lincoln Christian College but they do not offer an online program that I can find. I would like to try and narrow the list down by the end of the month, before I go on vacation.
